Club Review Buddy Guy's Blues Club Chicago Legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy has created a club that not only allows him a place to call home when he's in Chicago but a club that lets musicians from all over the world show they know the blues. Early shows allow local musicians to entertain crowds who come in for a drink or something to eat. There is no cover for these shows but the talent is first rate. The club has a limited food menu, a full bar, and pool tables in case your interested in more than just music. The area outside the doors looks a bit run down but the club is clean and safe. There is also a merchandise area where you can buy shirts, hats, and jackets to help you remember the place. The main shows of the evening feature national bands that play blues, and rock genres of music. Many of these shows sell out in advance so call before you go. There are tables as well as standing room. Being one of the most famous clubs in the city it is easy to find on foot or by cab. Just say Buddy Guy's and people know where your going. If you visit the Chicago area it should be on your must see list. If you plan to play in the area and you play the blues it should be on your must play list.
